From left, computer engineering sophomore Prabesh Khanal of Nepal; software engineering/mathematics senior Reyki Garcia of Carthage; and computer science senior Arjun Koinkar of Starkville, operate the Department of Computer Science and Engineering's Unitree Go1 quadruped robots. The AI bionic "dog-like" companions are used for research in quadruped robotic control, agile motion planning and rough terrain navigation for search-and-rescue procedures, as well as off-road mobility applications.
