MSU鈥檚 Kappa Sigma Fraternity raises SEC record $328K in annual Charity Bowl football game

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擬ississippi State鈥檚 Kappa Sigma Fraternity is providing $328,000 to the Jackson-based Reclaimed Project after setting a university and Southeastern Conference record for the most money raised during a single fraternity or sorority philanthropy event.

Proceeds from the 25th annual Charity Bowl football game, held last week at Davis Wade Stadium, will benefit Reclaimed Project and its partner communities in Lesotho, Africa, and the Mississippi Delta community of Marks. The organization partners with communities to invest in young people, equipping them with the tools they need to become leaders, while developing sustainable solutions dedicated to their spiritual, emotional and physical development. In Lesotho, the Reclaimed Project has developed and constructed orphan care centers, job-development initiatives, churches, schools and housing.

More than 40 undergraduate 绿巨人视频Kappa Sigma members will travel to Lesotho during spring break this month to work on various construction projects in the region.

In partnership with Charity Bowl, Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity hosted a flag football tournament and raised more than $6,000 for the Ability Experience, a philanthropic initiative empowering people living with disabilities.
