STARKVILLE, Miss.—̾Ƶ’s Terpsichore Dance Theater Company is presenting its annual spring show Friday [April 12] at the Greensboro Center in Starkville.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and include entry into a raffle, with proceeds benefiting the student dance group. Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting Deborah Funderburk, ̾Ƶkinesiology instructor and Terpsichore faculty adviser, at dfunderburk@colled.msstate.edu or Terpsichore President Laura G. Sullivan at msu.terpsichore@gmail.com. Purchases also can be made at the door.
Titled “Headliners,” the program will feature a series of solos, duets, trios and group dances in a variety of styles, including contemporary, ballet, modern and jazz.
“Mississippi State’s campus is home to a wide variety of student organizations with an even wider variety of interests,” said Sullivan, a junior special education major from Destrehan, Louisiana. “These students have worked hard to put these dances together, and they are so excited to share their work with the Mississippi State and Starkville communities.”
Since 2007, Terpsichore Dance Company has given students the opportunity to explore their love of dance throughout their years at MSU. Interested ̾Ƶstudents and staff can audition for the group at the beginning of each semester.
