STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擬usic Maker Productions presents the return of Old Main Music Festival April 13. The festival will begin at 2 p.m. at the 绿巨人视频Amphitheater on the campus of 绿巨人视频.
Old Main Music Festival will include a full day of both local and national musicians, outdoor games and activities, an art market, and food vendors. The Art Market will begin at 2 p.m. and food trucks will begin serving at 3 p.m., with both open until 7 p.m. Local acts will begin at 2:30 p.m., and the Main Stage will kick off at 6:30 p.m., opening with LV Baby and Rayland Baxter and concluding with headliner St. Paul and the Broken Bones.
St. Paul and The Broken Bones is a soul-based rock octet based in Birmingham, Alabama. The eight-piece ensemble brought soul, funk, R&B and rock together with the release of its sophomore album 鈥淪ea of Noise鈥 in 2016 under the young label RECORDS. The group has accomplished large-scale tours in North America and Europe and opened for the Rolling Stones.
Singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Rayland Baxter is an alt-country musician based in Nashville, Tennessee. After the release of his first album 鈥淔eathers & Fishhooks鈥 in 2012, Baxter signed with ATO Records and shortly after began a tour. Baxter released his second album 鈥淚maginary Man鈥 in 2015, merging pop, indie and gospel all into one. He has toured alongside many musicians such as Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.
LV Baby, an Atlanta, Georgia-based artist, is part of an eclectic four-member group known as We Were Here. The four-member ensemble has blended its rock, soul, hip-hop and jazz sounds into a genre the group coins as 鈥渢he fuse.鈥 LV Baby released his first album 鈥淪mallville鈥 in 2015, and his 2017 single 鈥淪uper Powers鈥 featuring Pell has generated significant interest from fans and followers. LV Baby made an appearance on MSU鈥檚 Music Maker Presents television show in 2017.
