STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擡ight musical acts and a new art market will be among highlights April 22 at Mississippi State鈥檚 second Old Main Music Festival.

Sponsored by the university鈥檚 Music Maker Productions and free to all, the 1-11 p.m. spring event takes place at the campus amphitheater on Stone Boulevard, across from the Cullis Wade Depot.

National and local acts scheduled to perform include:

鈥擥IVERS, a Lafayette, Louisiana-based indie pop group;

鈥擳he Humble (formerly Mo Lowda and the Humble), a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, rock trio;

鈥擩amie Davis and Soul Gravy, a country/soul/Southern rock group;

鈥擲eth Power, a recent 绿巨人视频graduate from Brandon who now is a Starkville-based singer/songwriter; and

鈥擣ides, a Clinton rock band.

Also on the musical bill are The Peddlers, Damien and Gerald, and Railroad Rodeo.

For the first time, this year鈥檚 festival is sponsoring an art market, with creations offered for sale by an array of local craftspersons.

Additionally, several local food vendors will be set up on the grounds, as will be a range of games available for participants of all ages. A corn hole tournament with a $5 entry fee will raise funds for Relay for Life.

Additional support for the Old Main Festival is being provided by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life which, like Music Maker Productions, is a unit of MSU鈥檚 Division of Student Affairs.
